Idea: Easy modification of built-in social links

It seems that I am unable to deactivate the social link function on posts that is built-in to my PageLines theme (StationPro). So perhaps the addition of an easy "switch off" function that would allow us to use a 3rd party plugin, or an editor built in so that we can customise our own social networking links and have these displayed in our RSS feed.
