Upgrading from Free version to Pro Version of Platform Pro

Recommended Posts

I have just bought your PlatformPro template, which I by the way think is an awesome template for Wordpress. I started developing a site in the free version of Platform and I am now wondering if it is possible to update the free version to the Pro version without creating the site from scratch again. I have made some customizations to the free version and would like to add the new features of the Pro version and the possibility to add custom Sections to the site I am building. Thank you very much for you help!

In what ways did you customize it? You can copy all the changes you made over and also try download the theme settings on the bottom of the Platform Settings panel

I have created a custom Jquery menu and are making some adaptations for mobile devices. So I want to add the new features of pagelines Pro to the existing theme..

Your best bet is to isolate all the hard edits you made back them up to a text file and backup your main settings and CSS etc. and re-implement them into the new theme. Going from the free version to the new PRO 1.1.5 (which has some big changes) it's going to be easier to redo the customization than to try and map what files are the same or are not and trying to sync it up, just too messy. Make sure to use the PlatformBase so you'll be able to upgrade with ease in the future. Thanks, Bryan
