Members Directory links double when Using BuddyPress/PlatformPro

Recommended Posts

Apologies for reviving this thread, but I just came across the same issue today using Platform 1.1.3 (not Pro) downloaded directly from the official Wordpress themes directory. Solved duplicate link by commenting `wp-content/themes/platform/members/members-loop.php` (line 52), like so:

<?php //bp_member_add_friend_button() ?>
Also prevents the following fatal error from being thrown when Friendships are disabled in BuddyPress:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_member_add_friend_button()
As such, I believe the above PHP fix is better than the suggested CSS `display` tweak. Leave the following line however (line 54) as it functions perfectly, detecting if friendships are allowed and displaying the link once:
<?php do_action( 'bp_directory_members_actions' ) ?>
The final code looks like this:
	<div class="action">
			<?php //bp_member_add_friend_button() ?>
			<?php do_action( 'bp_directory_members_actions' ) ?>
