Duplicate Feature Slider Buttons

Recommended Posts

heroescourse

I have four features rotating on my home page. Unfortunately, the feature buttons below the image show 8 items--four of which are repeats of the others. Any ideas what is causing this issue and how I might fix it? Thanks, Chelsea

Let's get a link and was this always like this or did it just happen, what else has changed that could be the culprit? Thanks, Bryan

Bryan - Here's the link to the page so you can see the issue: http://www.helpvetsnow.org/. This button thing is rather new. Didn't exist before we upgraded to the latest version of Wordpress. Only other changes we've made to the site are to the following Base Function PHP code: add_action('pagelines_inside_top_theloop','cat_title'); ?  ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  function cat_title(){?> ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  <?php if (is_category()):?> ? ? ? ? ? ?  ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  <h1 class="title"><?php echo single_cat_title(); ?></h1> ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  <?php endif; ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  } ?  // smart jquery inclusion if (!is_admin()) { ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  wp_deregister_script('jquery'); ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  wp_register_script('jquery', ("http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js"), false); ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  wp_enqueue_script('jquery'); }? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Looks like you've just opted for removing the buttons, is this a temporary workaround or a permanent solution? Marking for developer review just in case you need further assistance. Also, what version of PlatformPro are you using? Thanks, Bryan

Bryan - Removing the buttons is a temporary work around. We'd prefer to allow people to scroll through at their leisure. We are using PlatformPro version 3.0.4. Thanks Chelsea

This CSS hack will fix it but I'm not sure if it's ideal because it may not work in all browsers. Basically it just hides via css every button after 4 `body #featurenav a:nth-child(1n+5) {display:none;}`

It works but we really would like it to work properly in a wide variety of browsers and we may add more items than just these four in the future. Thanks!

What browsers have you found that it doesn't work in? Thanks, Bryan
