How to Mount an ISO file on Windows and Mac

Recommended Posts

An ISO file is defined as a copy of A CD or DVD. It contains all files which are burned in a CD or DVD. ISO is used to upload the file of DVD/CD on the internet. Mounting of ISO file indicates its opening, use or access of the data. The opening includes taking access control over the content which is stored in a physical medium and then implanted in CD/DVD. Whenever you download an ISO file, it needs to be mounted before installation. Mounting is bit ease than unmounting or storing data on a Disk. Here are the steps that help you to mount an ISO file.

Hello,

There are three processes of the mounting the iso file.

1. Via use of some software like power iso.

2. You make a bootable pen drive via  Rufus and use it as an iso bootable drive

3. you can left click on that iso and then you see the option of mount.

4. Just select the iso and there is an option which you find in taskbar "manage"  where you find mount option.

In mac

you can directly open the iso file via Disk Utility menu click on to "open Image File” and select your ISO file. The ISO should now appear mounted on the MAC OS desktop.
