Lax Background Image Missing

Recommended Posts

mtaus

I have added a Lax section on the footer of this site: http://www.ics-law.org.php72-38.lan3-1.websitetestlink.com/ but the background image is not displaying. When I first add the image it appears in the background, but then after saving and reloading it is gone even though the thumbnail indicates it's still there. Screenshot attached.

Any suggestions?

Hi Michael,

I can see the image on your website, did you try to open another browser to see if is tanking some more time to upload the developer page ?

@edgarcheverier I don't see it in any browser. Are you sure you're looking at the right section? I'm referring to the section at the bottom - right above the footer.

I tested Lax and the image on my website and its working fine, are you sure it's not a position problem, the image is not show in because the section is behind another one.

Can you try moving the section : https://cl.ly/3t0i311S3Q0a

Lax can be nested but if all you are doing is putting a text box and a button inside it, why not just use the text and button Lax already has It would be less redundant on the code.

@edgarcheverier @chrisayers I've tried both your suggestions and neither is working. If you look at the home page footer now you will see a Lax section without any addition text or button sections, but it is still not displaying the background image. I think this may be a bug that occurs when multiple Lax sections are on a single page.

I'm trying to add a Careers page to a site to display job openings. The plan is to create a Post using a subcategory 'Careers' and then display those on the page. All of the post sections in PL seem to include images and there's no obvious way to remove them or include an excerpt from the post.
      Any suggestions?

      Hello,
Shouldn't the image PL5 component be using the srcset/picture css directives to pick the correct size for an image? or it does already and I don't know how to use it? Thank you for any advice or enlightenment.

      Hey there,

I am working on BentleyRolling.com. I used grams on MoonbodySoul.com and all the images are cropped to a square, whether they are square or 4:5 when posted on instagram, they still get cropped to a square. This looks way better than some being squares and some being 4:5. Did something change since I designed MoonBodySoul.com with Platform5? Can you help me crop all images to a square on BentleyRolling.com

      All the best,

How do I control the lightbox effect on the plugin "popthumbs"?  On mobile, it opens up much to small then when expanded it opens to large.  I would like to control the the lightbox to like 90% of the viewer window but I can't figure out how/where to control that.
      Site example

      Thx

      Hi,
I am having an issue with the Lax sections on Platform 5. I can embed a widget or text box into a Lax section which is really neat, but the image in the background (the parallax image) seems to get stretched and doesn't scale in an attractive way.  For example, the page http://ed6.61e.myftpupload.com/#clients has a parallax section with a woman's face  and I thought is would scale as the browser window gets smaller but the zoom-level never changes. Also, the amount of parallax shift seems more dramatic than what we want. I thought that if I uploaded a shorter image it would scan/scroll less since the height from the image's top to bottom would be less. However, that doesn't seem to have any effect and I am at a loss of how to properly control the way the image is displayed within that box. Any thoughts, tips, or suggestions to get me pointed in the right direction?
Thanks so much for the help!
