Pagination in MagX - Cannot go back

Recommended Posts

Michael Kummer

Hi guys,

I have noticed that the pagination on the MagX extension only works to go forward (i.e. from page 1 to 2) but not to go to a previous page. For example, if you go to https://michaelkummer.com/blog/page/2/ you will see the Next button and 3+ works as they point to: https://michaelkummer.com/blog/page/2/?paged=3

But the Previous (or 1) link don't as the point to "nothing": <a class="page-numbers" href="">1</a>

Any idea what's going on?

Hi Michael,

As "previous", you have the third page, and in the first one you only have a number not a link. https://cl.ly/3W1T3o1I2604

This started to happen without reason? or did you change something?

I am not sure I understand. This is what I see on my page: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8wu7nccuflxdceu/Capto_Capture%202017-11-16_01-26-54_PM.png?dl=0

Why is Previous and 1 not a link if 2 is the current page?

<nav class="mx-pagination"><a class="prev page-numbers" href="">Previous</a>
<a class="page-numbers" href="">1</a>
<span class="page-numbers current">2</span>
<a class="page-numbers" href="?paged=3">3</a>
<a class="page-numbers" href="?paged=4">4</a>
<span class="page-numbers dots">…</span>
<a class="page-numbers" href="?paged=15">15</a>
<a class="next page-numbers" href="?paged=3">Next</a></nav>

I know WHY it doesn't work (empty href) and I know what should be there. The question is, why isn't it. The pagination feature comes with MagX, right? So it looks like it is broken and needs to be fixed. Or am I missing something? :)

Did Happens without any reason? Did you make any change on your website?

Honestly, I never clicked on those links before until just recently. So it may have been broken for a while without me realizing it.
