[Solved] Header items suddenly at the bottom of the page

Recommended Posts

I was surprised to see I had no menu today - out of the blue - its actually moved to the bottom of the page!  After hours of fiddling and disabling every single plugin, leaving just plagelines the issue is still present.  See video for a basic text box - I moved it into the head and it jumps to the bottom and shows just above the footer but below the main content.  I have a temp fix by placing the menu into the first row on the main content but it does mean other than my home page, all other pages have no menu.  A quick fix is very urgent for this bug.

Did you change anything on your WP installation? Did the version get upgraded or anything like that?

It was ok Tuesday, Wednesday was not.  WP may have auto-updated some modules.  To test, I did remove ALL the modules including all the Pagelines extensions and created a basic text box, placed it into header and it still went at the bottom!

(side note: I re-enabled all the modules again - but lost the contents of the Boxes extension, they reverted to defaults, but this is not what I am concerned about!).

I next created an identical site with the same extensions (it is a backup site).  Before I updated it to the latest everything, it was fine.  After  updated it to the latest WP and Woocommerce the exact same issue as the live site.

Hi @Paul

1. Try re-installing WordPress 4.8.2. Dashboard > Updates > Re-install Now

2. If the editor is still not working as it should. Can you open developer tools on the front-end(on Chrome: View> Developer > Developer Tools) and see if you're getting any error in the "Console" tab.

      Hi team,
checking my site today, i'm surprised to see my MegaNav all in bottom of the pages, while it's in header.
After getting to change it in couple of pages onto Template part (too time consuming !), i'm desperate and ask you for help :-)

      Hello,
I have an older site that was built using PageLines several years ago (prior to the release of DMS). I wanted to leverage some of the power of your new PL5 plugin but the theme prevents be from adding any generated custom sidebars to the theme (through the drag and drop interface) and does not allow me to add any PL5 sections/containers/etc to the header or footer. Is there any way to easily override that or am I stuck only using PL5 in the content areas of the site?
Thanks so much for the help!

      Hello,
How can you set the translations with platform5, the parts that are not in pages or posts? Texts and images…

OK - folks - back with another nit... The "back to top" link works - BUT - it's only active (i.e. clickable with the associated action following) when the mouse-over hovers over the footer area of the page. I did a quick change of the z-depth (to -1) and nothing made a difference. Any thoughts on how to make the *entire* back-to-top icon hover-able/actionable? Thanks!
