Platform Pro Websites All Broke With WP Update

Recommended Posts

mrmyth

Hello:

I have several sites on Host Gator that have been using Platform Pro. This template was great for me until recently, when after a Word Press update, all the sites just have the page heading and all the rest of the content doesn't display.

Thanks for your help.

I am unable to log into the Wordpress dashboard for my website. When I try, I get a page of lines saying:
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/hundreds/hundredsofhundreds.com/wp-content/themes/platformpro/core/library/class.layout.php on line 159 (and line 162, etc)
I have not posted to my wordpress site in a while, but keep it reasonably updated and haven't made any changes or deleted any important files that I am aware of. Any help much appreciated!

Hi to those who care to read...just upgraded from the old platform pro to the new DMS, and unfortunately I haven't found the transition that exciting...iboxes that can't link, very limited image options, can't link the boxes/content; Media boxes that won't link, poor customization options, a selection of very limited sections has led me to purchase 3rd party extensions to bring the site to some kind of life...
I was expecting an improvement in features from platform pro, not a downgrade. Sure construction is kinda a little easier (once you get your head around it) but being able to build a functional site straight out of the box is almost a waste of time... Perhaps I'm just missing something here but I would love to hear what else you guys think about DMS...?

      WordPress Version: 3.8.1
      Pagelines Framework Version: 2.4.4

I wish to have a dynamic "Child-Pages" list on my parent page and found the following shortcode @ WordPress.com support - I pasted the following in the Text Editor of the Page where I want the child pages list:

      [child-pages sort_column='post_tile' sort_order='ASC']

But it only shows up as if I added it to the Visual Editor.

I have parent/child pages set up.

I'm not confident in messing around in the .php file and have been able to create site look with minimum additions to style Sheet, so am using the Custom Code admin tool instead of a child theme.

I have read the following Documentation:
      http://support.pagelines.me/docs/miscellaneous/shortcodes/
      http://support.pagelines.me/docs/customization/hooks/

      And this forum question:
      http://forum.pagelines.com/topic/25361-shortcodes-not-working/

Please Advise if the shortcodes list at Wordpress.com (not .org) is not supported on Pagelines or self-hosted sites.

If it should work, here's the link to the page that I'm trying to accomplish this on, for your persual: link removed

I've always been able to find the answer to any of my questions here, so this is my first post and I hope I provided all the information you need.

      Thank you for your time/assistance.

      Hello everyone!

I'm having an issue with my website (here's the link...screenshot also attached). If you take a look you'll see that the top navigation (the item titled 'Advisory') has one item listed below it ('Case Studies'). That dropdown has additional pages under it, so it's Advisory --> Case Studies --> list of items. The problem is there's a huge vertical gap between the first dropdown option and submenu options. I hope I'm making sense...

Can you please help me find the CSS selector to align the sub-drop down menu?
