Trouble with Short Codes

I recently updated to the most recent version of PL5.  I am using a plug in (not a pagelines plugin) that utlizes a short code.  Before I upgraded, I was able to paste the short code directly into any element or text in the visual editor and the shortcode rendered properly.  But now, the only way I can get the short code to work is if I put it directly into a page or post.  Any thoughts?  is this a setting?  Is there anything special I should do with the short code when I am pasting it?  for example I am pasting the entire shortcode into the TEXT not the Raw Text Toggle as this:  [the_grid name="Location Show"] .   I am 100% certain that the code is correct since it will generate properly if I put it in the content area.

Hi @wendygordon,

If you are referring to the inability to render shortcodes while the editor in active then this was a change made by PL in a previous update.

But the shortcode should render when the editor is inactive.

@Aires have noticed that I can use the short code in the text module but not in boxes or heroes.  Any thoughts?

You are correct @wendygordon I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to put a form shortcode in the hero section.

It pains me every time I try it.

RATS!  This would be a nice feature to add!  shortcodes that work in Elements and Heros!
