Removing the feature slider on home page

I would like to remove the featured slider option on my home page. I have tried de-selecting "Show feature template on posts page" in the theme options, but the change will not save. What is the best way to remove the slider?

`.home #feature{display:none}` in Custom Code > Custom CSS should do the trick. If it doesn't please provide a link with your next reply. Thanks, Bryan
