Meganav z-index

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to place social icons over the meganav.  But they are hidden behind.  I tried giving the meganav a new class with a lower z-index, but that didn't work either.

/* social floating icons */
#floatingsocial {
position: fixed;
top: 1px;
right: 5px;
z-index: 9999;
 }

So I am assuming you added you html in a embed section and tried to float it over the menu. What is your setup I cant seem to find the social element you have placed.

Z-index is reset based on the parents that have a "position: relative" set on them.... e.g. z-index only plays nice within elements that have relative positioning, but gets reset whenever you follow to the closest parent that has relative positioning.

Hard to explain but google it and that might help you create the desired effect.
