How to change padding at top of Content Sidebar

Recommended Posts

heroescourse

Hello! I'm incredible impressed by y'all's responsiveness on this board. I'm now trying to edit the padding between the Nav and the sidebar content. Want to bring it all the way up to the nav bar. Also wondering if the position of the sidebar is changeable? Would like to move it down 30px or so. ` .one-sidebar-right #pagelines_content #sidebar-wrap, .one-sidebar-right #buddypress-page #sidebar-wrap { margin-top: 33px; width: 320px; } ` Thanks, Bryan

@Stephen Adding "margin-top:0px !important;" to your "#sidebar-wrap" declaration will bring the sidebar all the way up to the nav. You can modify it from there. (Change it to "margin-top:10px !important;" to bring it down 10px, for instance.) Hope that helps!

Kate, That's very helpful for the right sidebar for the future! Thanks! But what I'm really trying to fix is space between the "content sidebar" and the nav. Maybe I'm calling it the wrong thing... http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/LMn0JZU3m5rj9SeoVTfPPA?feat=directlink It's called a sidebar, but it's in the content area...and it's 60px from the nav. Thanks! Stephen

Try this one ` .one-sidebar-right #column-main .mcolumn-pad, .one-sidebar-right #container #content, .two-sidebar-right #column-main .mcolumn-pad, .two-sidebar-right #container #content { padding:0 30px 0 15px; } `

It may have undesired effects on other pages though

Hey thanks for your help! Watched your documentation on how to apply CSS selectors to specific pages or divs... Used the following code to apply to all Category pages. Thanks! .category .one-sidebar-right #column-main .mcolumn-pad, .one-sidebar-right #container #content, .two-sidebar-right #column-main .mcolumn-pad, .two-sidebar-right #container #content { padding:0 30px 0 15px; Thanks, Stephen helpvetsnow.org
