Issues with column alignment

Hi there. Since the past couple am having alignment issues with columns on a new page I am trying to create. The new page has 2 columns - left column with a text box and right column with a PLNextBox which has a mailchimp form in it. But Every time I set up the columns, the PLNextBox moves to the next line and I not able to do anything with it like even reducing column size. I've has to keep deleting the sections and start all over again and again with the same results.

Most of the pages on my site have the same two column layout and have not had any issues with them previously expect this new I am trying to set up in the past few days.

Update: managed to resolve the issues.
