Disable font Lato

Recommended Posts

Michael Kummer

Hi guys!

I'm using the following typography configuration in Pagelines Settings:

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans" rel="stylesheet">

font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif;

But Lato is still being loaded according to Google Page Speed. Do you know how I can prevent Lato from being loaded if I'm not using it?

Thanks

Michael

currently there isn't an *easy way to do this as its loaded in via the core framework CSS.

However, I've been considering revamping the typography handling to enable different default fonts (like open sans) and/or allow for things like disabling this all together.

Hang tight and we can fix this in an upcoming release.

Any plans to update this soon? I'm counting 7 variations of the Google Lato font being loaded by Platform 5! That's in addition to the 2 Open Sans variations I'm wanting.

      I use Adobe's Fonts.com for specific branded fonts for our site, and it's working nicely on Chrome and Firefox. However, the fonts all default in Safari. Is there anything I need to look at?

      How would I change font styles (type, color, face...) for post titles only using PL5?

      I'm currently staging a site: http://www.staging1.w-edigest.org/?page_id=84&preview=true
      I couldn't get the fonts to 'take' on the Site Settings > Typography page and then found this message in the Google developer view: Font from origin 'http://www.w-edigest.org' has been blocked from loading by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://www.staging1.w-edigest.org' is therefore not allowed access.
      How & where do I fix this?

      Thank you!

      Hello,

      I have an icon font that I have purchased from Fontastic and I was wondering if I can install this in DMS? I am able to generate the icon font in Fontastic and can set character mapping. Each icon has it's own class (e.g. icon-edit-comment).

      Is there a tutorial that I can follow on how to do this? I tried the approach in adding a [CHILD THEME] folder with a fonts folder inside but I was unable to get anything to work.

      Any help / advice would be great.

      Thanks,

      I use WPEngine as my hosting provider. When I work with the site in their staging area, it looks like this: http://screencast.com/t/SbdNnMuEeLtj

      When I promote the site to production, I lose icons in the search in the navbar and in the footer: http://screencast.com/t/dGSUmuWtB

      I am choosing to move all tables, etc. Why is this problem occurring? I have a site that needs to go live!
