Assign loop to a category

Hi,

Previous webmaster has made short codes assigned to certain categories. For example: [pl_section section="loops" id="003"]  displays all the Job posts for tech. 

But where can I assign a short code for a certain category? I can't find where to add the loop ID for the category.

You need to edit the Loops section in the PL Page Editor, not edit the shortcode. The id is just the id of the section.

Thanks for the answer.

But how can I display a certain category if it is not in the loop field? In the example I have just inserted the loop id in a text field and it displays the category. Can't see where in the Page Editor I could change / create loop id's that would match a category.

Sorry, either you didn't understand my answer or I don't understand your second question. All that the shortcode does is place a Loops section in the page content section. You have to edit this section in the Page editor, like a regular section. Open the page in preview, open Page editor and find the section made by the shortcode (it won't show as a section in the Page editor, as it is inside the regular content section). Click the small pencil-icon on your Loops section to edit the section with Page editor (https://www.pagelines.com/articles/resources/loops/)

Though if all that is in the content section is the shortcode, I think it would be betterto remove the content section and just have a Loop section instead.
