Duplicate Page Plugin (DMS 2)

Recommended Posts

db-wc

Hi,

WP 4.7.1

DMS Version: 2.2.1.1

WP Engine is the host.

Unfortunately we are unable to use the built in template saving method with pagelines because our host can't handle the load any more. A whole separate issue, trust me. So we tried using a plugin called "Duplicate Page" and it appears that both pages end up referencing the same PL Theme Settings for that page or something along those lines.

Is there a way to disconnect the new page from the old page template or is this plugin just not going to work? Any other suggested plugins?

Thanks

When you duplicate the page, you are duplicating all the post_meta settings too.

We moved away from wpengine for the same reasons.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the quick response. To be honest, I'm not sure what information it moves, but happy to dig around and find out if you can help me with that. I can check the database too if there is an easy way to do that.

Thanks

P.s. which host did you end up going to?

Hi Simon,

I can't see anywhere that houses the meta information. I don't think I know where to look. Where should I start?

Thanks,

Hi Simon,

I'm looking in the post meta table, but I don't know how to compare the two pages to see where the error would be. Is there a query I can use to pull up just the pagelines meta information for the 2 pages so I can see them? Perhaps using Page ID?

Thanks,

open two windows of phpmyadmin, load the post_meta for the posts in each tab.

I have phpmyadmin open. I clicked on post_meta. I see post meta that appears to be for the home page. How do I see the right pages?
