Content / Blog Organization on Main

Right now every post just has the small box and there are 10 of them on the main page. http://www.cafetax.com/ Is there anyway to make the first post the width of two in the first row, so it stands out as the most recent post? It would limit the main page topics to 9, but is desired. Thanks! -Joe

Yes if you go to Blog and Post Options in Platform - Settings there is a drop down for how many full width posts you want to show when using the magazine style layout mode.

Is there a way to do this but only show the excerpt portion for it? So the it does not show the full blog. Basically its the same as the others but laid out across the top so it has more of a "latest" entry feel?

`#post-2609{width:700px}` Drop that in Custom CSS. Is that along the lines of what you're looking for? Unfortunately, if it is that won't work long term. Thanks, Bryan

@Joe It looks like Bryan meant to use a "." for a class not a "#" for an ID. Either way, if you try it, it actually won't give you the result you want. For two reasons: 1) This will only effect this post, not future posts. 2) The CSS currently in place would conflict with it, causing the box that follows to be floated to the right by itself. Perhaps another solution would be to modify the loop file (eg: with a counter) to assign an ID or class to that first post.
