Am I too smart for Google, or is it too dumb?

Recommended Posts

So I've got this DMS2 site running and have since 2015 ( https://www.sightsize.com ).
All works well.

However, no matter how I configure things on the home page, nor what I do with the site map in Google Webmaster, Google still does not show the site's hierarchy correctly in its search.
Below is what shows for the site. On the plus side, it does show as the first and third hits.

The home page has no WP Content section. In fact, all the content on that page is driven by other DMS2 sections.
Is that the issue?

Or, is the problem that the first and second menu items are drop downs (rather than being links themselves)?

I do realize that Google does what Google wants, but even my old PL Framework sites list normally. On those I've done nothing at all to specifically help Google.
