How to add jQuery plugin (Flip Wall) to Platform Pro...

Recommended Posts

heroescourse

I know this might be beyond my level of experience, but I saw a flip wall on charity:water's website: http://www.charitywater.org/about/contributors.php And i found out the steps to do it: http://tutorialzine.com/2010/03/sponsor-wall-flip-jquery-css/ I'm curious if anyone else has used this plug in? Where would I install such a plug in on the back end? Would I put the folder into content? Thanks! Stephen

WP already loads jquery but you will have to add the jquery UI...what is your level of expertise? This is a pretty straightforward tutorial, but I might recommend hiring someone to save you from pulling out your hair. If not we'll definitely help you get there. Where do we start? Do you have the css and such loaded or no?

Adam, Thanks for the response... I have no experience with the jQuery UI or PHP, but I'm very willing to learn and experiment. I haven't loaded the CSS either. I'm a bit confused... 1. Why are is are there two parts to the style sheet? 2. why are there two parts to the demo.php? What part of the theme do I upload the files to? Thanks in advance for your time! Stephen

I can get you started, both parts of CSS can just be put together and pasted in: Custom Code > Custom CSS for the rest you'll need to update us when you're done for continued help. Thanks, Bryan

Wow- that was much easier than i thought;) That Custom CSS box is an amazing help. Ready for the next step... is it to upload the demo.php file to the helpvetsnow/wp-content/plugins directory? Thanks! Stephen www.helpsvetsnow.org

You actually don't need to download demo.php and there isn't actually PHP in it in this case. For testing purposes I would just create a page and enter the code from step one using the HTML editor when adding page content.
