Platform 5 / Pagelines Framework Compatibility with SSL

Recommended Posts

chules

I have a website running the latest version of Wordpress, Platform 5, Pagelines, & WooCommerce.  I purchased a digital certificate from DigiCert, SSL and installed it on my load balancer.  I host with Rackspace.

When I view the site at www.christina-lombardi.com over https the site does not display correctly.  I'm using WooCommerce and have it set to force SSL following the following instructions, https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/ssl-and-https/

Is Platform 5 and Pagelines theme compatible with SSL?  Does anyone have experience with getting the site to display correctly using SSL.

Thank you

I just installed a plugin called "Really Simple SSL".  It's forcing the entire site to view as SSL but at least it's displaying correctly.  Does anyone know why without the plugin Platform 5 and Pagelines theme doesn't work over SSL?

Thank you - chules

PL5 works perfectly fine with SSL.

Weve always used SSL on pagelines.com, my site uses SSL. Never had any issues and never ever needed any 3rd party janky force ssl plugin.

If you set your main WP urls to SSL in WP settings everything else just works.

Simon,

Where would I do this?  Do I just go to WP Settings-General and change the following

WordPress Address (URL) change from http://www.christina-lombardi.com to https://www.christina-lombardi.com

Site Address (URL)  http://www.christina-lombardi.com to https://www.christina-lombardi.com

I still have the  plugin called "Really Simple SSL" activated but would rather not use it.  Are the above changes all that's needed.

Thank you
