My client has just flagged up a problem with the Pinterest share button. When they click it on any of theor blog entries Pinterest comes back with the following error:

Parameter 'image_url' (value http:) is not a valid URL format.

I've checked this myself and it does indeed happen. The post has a featured image, these are using standard Pagelines DMS sections and the the site is totally up to date.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

I think I've found the problem... they've been adding the images in the content edit screen rather than as a Featured Image.

That would cause the problem wouldn't it?

Indeed it would. The share buttons use a featured image if there is one.

Right I've just tested it and that is exactly why its happening. They don't seem to understand what a Featured Image is. When I asked whether they had set one they answered in the affirmative. Now I can see looking through all the posts they've added them in the content area!!

You can close this its user error! I guess thats what you suspected with your request for a screengrab...

There is a plugin out there that converts the 1st image in a post into the featured image for this exact client fail ;)

Have a search on google and wp plugins before you waste half a day copying them all

      Plugins Causing Errors

      I am building a site from scratch using PL5. I have many sites running this framework. When I add WooCommerce, it breaks the site causing the following error: PHP Warning:  Illegal string offset 'post_id' in /home/onlinema/public_html/commass/wp-content/plugins/pl-platform/lib/shortcodes.php on line 243.
      Same when I add lots of other plugins it seems including Justified Image Grid and Envira Gallery.
      Any idea what's happening here?

      Cannot load editor/ "refused to execute script"

      Looking for some help on a recently developed issue. Editor will not load. 
      Theme:  DMS2
      Error from:  Chrome - Inspector - console view
      Error message: Refused to execute script from 'http://xxxx.xxx/wp-content/themes/dms/dms/editor/js/gettext.js/?ver=4.9.7' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.
      Occurs on all sites on same server. 
      WP versions to 4.9.5, 4.9.6, 4.9.7 = same behavior. Worked properly on these same versions until 07/04/2018.
      No new plugins. Isolating plugins offers same behavior. 
      Server vendor reports no changes, patches, etc. 
      Server re-starts no impact.

      Hi, I just found that my site is not working - nothing to see what I have activated PL5 tap late (just white screen :-() , I can open just admin site . I tried to activate different template (tventy seventeen) and was working , but not with PL5. 
      could you pls let me know what is the problem ASAP

      Staging site connection error

      I have a staging site up that I have been working on, and tonight was having PL5 account connection issues:
       
       
      I refreshed, didn't work, so I followed instructions and disconnected and clicked connect to get a new token, and got white screen with the following php error:

      Hi everyone,
      Flywheel have reported errors on my clients site 'www.racewaredirect.co.uk' and it's not loading. Can someone please provide some information on how to fix this? The site has never experienced these issues before.
