I am experiencing an issue that I believe is theme related where two areas on our homepage are not loading correctly, until you resize the browser window. I am currently building http://stevesaggese.com/ but on the bottom of the homepage there is a google map and a "Featured Area Photos" slideshow that are not displaying properly. For example, in EI or Firefox the map is zoomed all the way out instead of zooming in on central New York. The are beneath that is "Featured Area Photos" and the images are loading as thumbnails instead of full (half column) images. When you simple make the browser window slightly large or smaller the photos adjust to be the correct size.
If I switch themes the issue seems to disappear and I have tried deactivating certain plugins to see if that has any effect too. Is this a JS loading issue or something else caused by the theme?
Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide.
Media Box not taking Google Maps input
I have the EMBED MAP code from Google (which I have done 100''s of times before),
I input it into the TEXTBOX or MEDIABOX SAVE it, and as soon as I refresh the page the text is gone (and of course there is no map).
I have rebooted, refresh cache, everything with no luck..it just will not take the google maps input...it will however take and save a simple text input.
I am using WordPress 4.5.1
The google code is:
<iframe src="https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=!1m18!1m12!1m3!1d2602.466376170749!2d-123.11645494869879!3d49.286507879230314!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x548671828dbf1c61%3A0x489cbb919c49d6e!2s325+Howe+St%2C+Vancouver%2C+BC+V6C+3N2!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sca!4v1461869255884" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0" style="border:0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The website and CONTACT PAGE ( the map is next to the CONTACT VALRI text, there is a textbox and media box there) are here:
Your login is:
Look the Google tour iframe in this page:
Is it possible to see this iframe not boxed (as you see) but in full width?
Recently updated the install of Modern Tribe's The Event Calendar Pro on my DMS2 site and though I didn't catch it right away, the Google Maps feature built into the event display stopped showing the map. Because my development site had been sitting virtually unchanged for more than a month, I was able to recreate the update process plugin by plugin and discovered that as soon as I updated Events Calendar the Google Maps feature quit working.
So why am I posting here? I went through the plugin deactivation process (and a number of other processes as well) and discovered that as soon as I deactivated the Pagelines Updater plugin, the Google Maps started displaying properly. It seems obvious that it was the update to the Modern Tribe plugin that caused the conflict, but it may be that others could be having the same problem. And with any luck two of my favorite plugins can find a way to play together again.
Is it possible to add a function to the google maps section to get the Locations from a Custom Post Type?
I have a cpt called hotels with fields: google maps address, google maps title, google maps description
for the single hotel view i could use the fields with the maps shortcode to display the map fine.
i want the google maps section to display all entries of the cpt on one map in the hotel overview (archive page)
i should lode the, address, title and description from the cpt.
nice add-on would be possibility to select the custom taxonomies to display
Or is outthere a plugin possible doing this all?
