Can't activate Pagelines Updater

This is driving me nuts. I've tried a new installation and I'm still getting the message below when I'm trying to 'Activate your PageLines product to receive updates.'

download a fresh copy of the updater and try again, if that fails open a support ticket.

My site is missing the updater plugin entirely. Where can I download a copy of the plugin?

Actually, I found the plugin in my account and when I activate it, it won't accept my license key and email address. The page just flashes to blank with no message.
