Couldn't you just paste the code inside the post?

OK, i found : Inside the post, there is a pagelines sortcode Button :)

It works, it is fantastic, but :

  • I'like to choose which icon i want to display
  • I'd like to center them on the left
  • i'd like for example to paste the shareware at the end of every posts on my blog

It would be nice !

OK, i found how to center, you can just clic and edit, it's fantastic.

2 questions :

  • I'like to choose which icon i want to display (i don't want Pinterest, and i'd like Google+)
  • i'd like for example to paste the sharebare at the end of every posts on my blog

If you want the share bar to be at the end of every post, you need to set up the builder something like this.

The top container is holding text boxes for various loops: [loops_title] [loops_author] etc.

The bottom container is holding [loops_content] and the share bar.

hum, in fact, it is not really what i want...

In this case, socialbar appears at the end, at the bottom of the comments.

I want that the social bar appears inside the post, at the end.

I can do it manually, it works perfectly with the pagelines; but i would like to do on every posts.

Do you see what i mean ?

To do as want you will need to use a hook to apply to every post.

Currently the hooker plugin is not in PL5 so you will have to code it in manually.

Thank you.

Here is my shortcode : [pl_section section="sharebar" id="1356524174"]

Would you know which code to add in CSS to display Share bar at the end, inside each post of my blog ?

Sorry, i don't know code, that's why i'm using Pagelines :)

I really am not comfortable giving out such code.

There are too many thing that can go wrong, your site could fail to load and I can't be liable for issues with your website. Errors  may occur and will need to ftp into the server and remove the code.

The best way to learn it is to experiment as I did on a test site and learn as go. There are tons of tutorials to choose from.

add_filter('the_content', 'my_function');

function my_function( $content ){

	$pt = get_post_type();

	if( 'post' == $pt ){
		$content .= 'add something';
	}

	return $content;

}

something like this...

Or, to add to Andrews snippet...

...

$content .= do_shortcode( '[pl_section section="sharebar" id="1356524174"] );

I believe that the function is to add the sharebar inside each post an existing blog post. If I want to do this in my blog I have more than 7.000 post.

Hi chrisayers

Yes if he wanted to do that on 7,000 posts it would be tough. But his question was answered. He said he was not a coder so giving him PHP hooks is like handing him nothing. I personally can go up and click the shortcodes button as fast as I can type "Thanks for reading this blog post". If he has a ton of post will be a lot of work. But if he is starting fresh then adding that to the bottom each time take 10 extra seconds.

And since PL5 seems to be all about pick and choosing and using any toys we like now rather than it all being theme dependent. How about just using any sharing plug-in out there including the built in ones built into WP. And since he is not a coder I am willing to bet he has Jetpack or used it before. That has all the sharing and publish to Social Media tools for novices.

on another note - sharebar is quite a light option - in terms of choices.
jetpack is one option as a replacement.
monarch has a load of options - maybe too many - but does not put a strain on the site.
sumome has some neat tricks.
and there are some very good and very light choices in codecanyon like

Thank your for your answers...

Actually, i wanted to add the sharebar inside each post of my blog posts...

I bought a plug in, because it is more simple, or more cutstomizable..

      Hello, I want to create a form where a visitor can submit content/post from the front end. I did something very similar some years back using wp-types, CRED form with pagelines DMS. When i try to set this up in Platform 5, the CRED form generates but doesn't show. I get a blank page. In the browser's console window, i get the error: Uncaught Error: You cannot apply bindings multiple times to the same element.
      When i deactivate the PL plugin and change the theme, the form appears.
      I'm using Wordpress 4.8.2 and PL 5.1.7
      Thanks.

      Hi, I'm using a series of Loops sections on our PL5 site (insights.adaptiva.com), and on one section, I'd ideally like the loops to link to external URLs that are defined in the post in WordPress. Is that possible?
