Flipper suggestion: DMS2 aspect ratio for fast switching from DMS2 to PL5

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I would like to suggest the following… The new PL5 Flipper has different aspect ratio's then the previous DMS2 version. To facilitate fast switching/rebuilding from DMS2 to PL5 I would suggest adding a third aspect ratio option which is the same as DMS2.

Thanks, Jan

We don't want to clutter things up this way. Have to be careful which features we add since they cannot be removed.

@janpeeters would this work for you? the percent relationship is your required aspect ratio eg 4:3 ratio is .75 = 37% 50%

.flipper-media.landscape {
  padding: 37% 50%;
}
.masonic-gallery .masonic-item-media.landscape {
  padding: 37% 50%;
}

Thanks @oksodavid that worked. It needed an !important after the padding for me to work but that might be child theme related.

I can understand your position there @Andrew. I just had the following additional afterthought. Wouldn't two extra aspect ratio's 4:3 and 16:9 be a nice addition?

      I am using the Powerloop plug-in on my DMS website and can sort my elements by Postdate, but I want to sort the pages in Alphabetic order.
      Actually the same question for sorting Flipper content in Alphabetic order instead of Ascending / Descending / Random options.

      We only want the images and title mouse-over, not link/click to the actual post the title is from.
      Any ideas anyone?
      Thanks

      I just installed and added the Flipper section to my home page and it makes my navigation/menu bar items disappear.
      They do show up again when scrolling down and everything seems normal on the other pages.

      Thanks.

      Is there any way to hide the excerpt in Flipper, and the navigation arrows?

      How do I hide (or change) the category title in the Flipper section?
      Could there be a setting for this in the editor?
