11 of 12 Pro licenses

Why does it say this?  I thought the pro version was unlimited installs and usage.

There is no versions with platform. People purchase 1 5 or 10 domains ..

you have 12 there because you have a previous subscription.

A pro site means you can install anything from the platfrom. All extensions.

You'll need to use a license for each domain you activate pro on.

So if I want to use it on 13 domains then I need another license?

Just curious if you've come up with the number of included licenses "Grandfathered" account holders will start with? It currently says that I have 4 for though I've seen other posts (including this one) of people having many many more?

It depends on what products the user has.

Various club based subscriptions give you domains. Purchasing DMS less than 1 year ago gives you a few and of course the original DMS1 subscriptions give you some also.

What happens when you move a local to staging or staging to live?
and if you want to have staging and live both active will this count as two uses?

and if i want to turn over an account to a client I don't want them to see "you have x of X licences" available.
perhaps a pro extension to hide that page for client sites?

Platform pro was not in the woocommerce billing system ;)

If you install it on a localhost, you should see that Platform realises this and makes the install pro anyway, as long as you have any amount of sites available.
Localhost does NOT need to be activated and does not take up any slots.

Clients will not see the account page, they wont have a login to connect with.

We are adding functionality now so when you login and activate a site, its then activated for your clients.. All the 'connection' is done via your PageLines account, thats whty you have to sign in during the process.
They wont have access to that obviously.

We are also technically designing the system so that you can connect your clients account and have them pay for the activation. This way we can support them for you

Thats not the intention necessarily, we are working on alleviating the friction between clients and designers/developers.  We want to be involved in that relationship.

Not sure I am following this. But when I loged in local I was 100% good. And now I installed on a live site and then I was 65% good?
Used up 12 of 12 licenses.(only my second) When you had the live video session I thought you said that if we where subscribers to the pro DMS we would
benefit this for free? Have I totally misunderstood this.

And if my client have to buy there own license how am I suppose to develop the site?

You are a funny guy Simon really you are. But why do I have 11 of 12 when the one above has 14 of 16. How many different Pros do you have??

You never asked that. I wasn't being funny i was just answering your question.

To answer this new question:

There have been various subscriptions available since DMS1 was first released. Probably about 10 or 12 at least. We have to honour each and every one of them. Some people pay more per month/year than others depending on what package they signed up for and what that package gives them.

My localhost was activated and when I pushed it live I can NOT activate it!

Please see the README

You activated on localhost as far as our key server knows you are still on localhost.
