[Solved] Can't edit or save changes in DMS editor

Recommended Posts

Myntillae

I've built a site for a client, and we're trying to make some changes and fix some content that got erased, but the DMS editor won't save any of the changes that we make in the text. Sometimes it will let us delete sections or add them, but then we can't customize them. It's happening on every page from what I can tell, so it's not specific to the pages we are editing. It seems as there is a JS error coming from the SolidFooter section, and the error switches around from it being an issue with the Twitter link or the LinkedIn link, etc. But it won't allow me to save any changes so I can't try removing links or disabling the canvas area. If you have any ideas as to why we can't edit anything through DMS editor we would be most grateful.

Hi Myntillae

I can not see your DMS version, perhaps you need update your version of DMS. The fix was added a couple of versions ago for WordPress updated jQuery files.

http://forum.pagelines.com/topic/33719-dms2-latest-version-and-release-notes-22/

Install the PageLines Updater plugin, it will be in your account area as a download at https://www.pagelines.com/my-account/

Install, activate then configure it using your DMS2 key and email address, you will then get auto updates.

You can always download the DMS2 zip from your members area and update the theme manually too.

Omg, yes, I had forgotten about that update. This site was originally built a year ago, so I had forgotten to do the update. I did the update and things are working properly now. Thanks!
