Flatpik 1 Report post Posted January 13, 2010 Love the Whitehouse theme, but I have a problem with these 2 browsers. Our site looks great in Firefox, but in IE the left side Features panels displays the fonts too big. I don??™t know how to fix. The site is live, any suggestions appreciated. www.firstplan.com

markl 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 FYI: The wreath looking graphic and text are all an image.. so that text doesn't vary , in case that was a question. But the text on the page is certainly affected ( Welcome to First Plan let us help you innovate.. and the sub headings below: ( SalesLogix, Sage CRM and Connect, and text below ) . markl 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 Throwing darts here.. so I'll ask -- is this a font substitution problem? where the theme is specifying a font.. and if IE doesn't have it.. substitutes a big font. Where is the font called for in this theme and can I change it to something that will render correctly? tnx. M
Andrew 207 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 No, the problem is most likely a markup issue which Firefox auto corrects (its good at this) and IE doesn't. In your case it looks like you've nested a `` tag inside a `` header tag, which is a no no

jasonp 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 this exact thing happened to me too once -- i was surprised that firefox looked great but IE looney. turns out i had forgotten to close an html tag within the bottom feature box #2, it affected the rest of the feature boxes as well as the footer, but only in IE. Another reason to appreciate our trusty mozillafox...
