Wordpress menus scrambled & disappear

Recommended Posts

JawDesigns

Hi everyone,

I was hoping someone could help. Firstly all my websites are DMS and all hosted on Flywheel. Recently I have noticed that on my sites including fresh installs with only DMS and a few DMS sections the main wordpress menus are disappearing when I hover them in the dashboard. This looks really flakey and I am not sure why. I have tried disabling the plugins but this does not help me.

Please see screen grab. Has anyone seen this?

Thanks, James

It's a bug with chrome I'm afraid.

nothing to do with dms or even Wordpress.

Sorry, but your response doesn't make sense. Chrome is required and we can only develop using Chrome, wouldn't it then be a bug with DMS?

Same issue, all sites hosted with Flywheel and I get the same thing.

No its a bug introduced in the last build of chrome.

Here is the WordPress trac discussion on the issue: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/33199

And here is the actual chrome bug ticket: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=509179

There are a couple of hacky workarounds, some work some dont.

Chromes release schedule is a bit slow, so unfortunately we are stuck like this until the next stable build after the one thats currently in beta.

See the last post in the chrome ticket for more info.

      Hello!

Since i recently updated to WordPress 4.9.4 there have been some unusual behaviours with Platform 5 (version 5.1.8).

I am unable to edit the colour pickers for the backgrounds (the boxes do not show up anymore) and when i activate a plugin from the extend menu it does not show up in my page editor tools.
Is this a problem for everyone else?
Thank you in advance for your time.
      Ste.

WordPress 4.7.1 was released on 11th January.
It introduced a new bug that stops certain filetypes from being uploaded.
This bug unfortunately stops users from uploading SVGs with the Platform 5 builder.
In the meantime if you need to upload an SVG or have any other image upload issues then please try this plugin that bypasses the mime checks that were introduced.

EDIT: 4.7.2 has been released without the fix. Fix is now slated for 4.7.3

      Hey Everyone,

Ever since the latest wordpress update, woocommerce will not display the product images. When you click where they should be they pop up in a light box, but otherwise are not visible. The errors appear to be theme related. Is there an update or fix for this?

      Hi,
I am using the plugin WP-Property with an addon called "WP Property Supermap".
Testwise I've added the shordcode [supermap] to
the post loop a embed section a text section The supermap is located as third after the H1 and H2 tags but the map gets displayed at the top of the page,
All three ways break up the page structure of all content which is above the supermap.
My question is: Where is the error?  Is it the plugin or the theme which causes the display errors?
