Pagelines Signup causing Internal Server Error

Recommended Posts

vikzee

Hi, I am running DMS Version: 2.1.9.8 and have installed Pagelines Signup plugin version 0.2 but when I add the section to my site it gives an Internal Server Error 500 until I disable the plugin and then my site works fine again.  The site is: http://cdmtestserver.com/windsor/

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Can you enable WP_DEBUG to reveal the php error, or check your server logs..

Thanks Simon, I enabled the server logs on GoDaddy but it's all a bit of a minefield for me, lol.  However, what I have experienced is a lot of Internal Server Errors across all my sites and some Googling revealed it's a common GoDaddy issue :(

So thanks for replying to my question, but I think it is just a general issue with GoDaddy at times and merely a coincidence that it is happening when I activate/deactivate the plugin.

Just an update - I recently worked out what this was...

In the media box section I was using for the logo in the header area, I had removed the image and added it in the 'text and embed html' box using code like this, so the logo was a link back to the homepage:
<a href="[pl_site_url]"><img src="[pl_site_url]/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/wp-logo.png"></a>

When I remove that and stick with the logo as the Mediabox Image (no link), the server error goes away!

Weird huh? But that's what it was anyway :)
