Link Icon To Menu?

Recommended Posts

dreamsight

Hey guys, we're creating a purely mobile website for a client, and they specifically want the header to look a certain way.

since mobile doesnt work with two columns traditionally, its hard for us to get the navbar/mobile menu button where it needs to be.

we've managed with an icon, as you can see - http://mobile.countyflatroofing.co.uk/

is there a way to link the bars icon to the menu somehow? or any thoughts on how to get the actual menu where that icon is?

Hi,

Unfortunately, no you would need to use a navigation section such as Navi.

Hi Danny, We've sussed it, as long as we can stop the columns rearranging when collapsing on browser resize. We have 1 column with 3 text boxes in a line. When the browser resizes it makes text box 1 100% and drops the other text boxes underneath. How can we keep these all on 1 line?

So text box 1 column width 10/12, text box 2 column width 1/12 and text box 3 column width 1/12, need to stay on the same line when browser resized

If we can get them to stay on 1 line when resized there are numerous way we can achieve what the customer wants.

Hi,

In responsive design, elements that are in a grid will become change to display in a block and therefore, be 100% width of the container they're placed in with all other elements doing the same in that grid. To prevent this from happening (which I would advise against), you will need to either use that sections ID in a Media Query and override the styling and set the width for both the first and second sections.

The client wants a dedicated mobile site with landing pages for mobile adverts. He's given us what he wants and I can't see any other way of doing it.

We have to keep the 2 columns on the same line, whether we use mediabox/navbar/mediabox or mediabox/widgetizer. Unless there is another way to achieve this?

To achieve this, you will need to override the sections mobile styling using media queries.
