Hi

I'm in trouble with a site using iBlogPro 6 with the DMS editor. Developers told me to ask support in forums. Here we go…

I try to make a page with tabs containing a kind of dictionary with some terminology. I am saving and refreshing all the time but the problem is, in some point, the changes aren't saved and I get the three default tabs again as nothing happened. I did it once and again. Then I saw the problem was when I write more than 50.000 characters (or 60.000 counting white spaces).

What can I do? How do I have to configure server settings? Or is this a theme problem?

Please I would appreciate any comment about it.

Thank you very much

HI,

  • What are you using for the tabs?
  • Is this a section or third party plugin?
  • Can you provide a link to the site in question.

Please search our forums, before posting!

Its actually a database limitation, the table where the section data is saved is set to TEXT, which has a limitation of 64kb

The next version of DMS has a patch to convert the table to LONGTEXT

Its easy to do if you have access to your database, the table is pl_data_sections, just change the live and draft columns from TEXT to LONGTEXT

How can I get support on pagelines DMS? The product isn't that old and my skeleton themes aren't working and I can't get support in the same way?

I have a number of legacy websites that are running on the above version of Pagelines DMS, where the template has stopped working. I am using a skeleton theme to all of them. What do I need to do to rectify this.

I am having an issue with DMS editor not loading.  Just keeps spinning and spinning.
Have tried several things - Logged in and out, cleared cache, deactivated all plugins, but the issue persists.
I even had our host restore from a backup a few weeks ago, when I know it WAS working, as I edited a text box on the homepage.  The restore from backup didn't help either.
Also, the front end of the site shows that the site is framed, or boxed now (whatever you call it), instead of full width as it was previously (last week).
Dev console shows that there are php errors in Google maps - file is attached.
Can someone please help?  Not sure what else I can do here...
      Thanks in advance.
