Revslider - slider image cut off on sides

Recommended Posts

selmakdesign

Hello,

I'm using the revslider and 1 slide with an image of 2000px width and 410px height. I've set the slider height to 410px.

My issue: the slider image does not fit into the screen, it's cut off on the left and right. My screen resolution is 1920 and in fullscreen mode the entire image is displayed, but as soon as I minimize the broser a bit och view at a smaller screen resolution, the sides are cut off. please see homepage of http://www.loveit-buttercup.com/

Please help me fix this!

Thanks.

/Selma

Hi Selma,

The RevSlider section using a CSS property called background-size and a value called cover. Visit this page and read the description of the cover value, it will tell why the image has been cut off slightly.

Hi Danny,

ok now I know why, shouldn't then the revslider bg be programmed to actually fit the bg image and not cut off the sides? what's the css to make it fit both in lenth and height?

I've tried a few of the settings in the article and while I can get the legth to fit perfectly, that's not giving me the right height, leaving loads of white space above and below the image...

If you do not like how the RevSlider sizes your images, then you will need to override the CSS. However, this isn't something we can provide support for. Therefore, you're going to need to override it yourself with your own code. You could try applying the following to the images.

max-width:100%;
height:auto;

However, if you want to have your images full width and keep in proportion as well as responsive, you may want to try contain instead of cover. However, in my opinion cover is the simplest solution.

      Unable to attach an image that's already been uploaded.
      When attempting to upload one from scratch, it gives me the error seen in the screenshot. As you can see by the Chrome Inspector, I receive a 400 error.

      Ik like to use the following Plug-in in my DMS Theme, but can' get it to work. My DMS Editor is not loading anymore if I paste this short code in a page, textbox or mediabox: [wpdatatable id=1]
      Plug-in: WPDataTables Plug-in
      Shortcode:  [wpdatatable id=1]
      Website: http://gentleclinics.nl/prijslijst-heren/

      Anyone experience with this plug-in and DMS.

      I recently downloaded the latest DMS2 update. Since the download, I lost front end ability to update. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      I originally purchased, I believe, a 3 site licence for DMS2. The new account interface does not reveal any of this information.
      How do I know how many licences I am entitled to? How do I reset one for a new website? All it says now is that I don't have any Pro licences?
