transparent backgrounds on Divs

Recommended Posts

Under site Settings, I have one large background image assigned.

I want all the content divs to be transparent. (they are white now).

So that would include: the fixed header, the header, and all the template areas.

Thx In advance for your help.

Don

http://alignyourspace.com/build/home/

I have gotten the content area divs to have transparent backgrounds now,

But cannot seem to get the Fixed header to work.

PS I want the fixed header to have a semi transparent background.

I have created a Full width canvas area in the header, and using a TEXT Block and Simple NAv I have managed to create a fixe menu strip ..

so I have figured it out..BUT..

it would be nice if the fixed header area had a simple way to do this.

Is there?

Thx D.

Has this now been resolved, as I have just visited your website and you appear to have a slightly transparent header?

Hi Danny, can you read the text above your reply..I created a work around, but can this not be done with the fixed header area?

You're already using the Fixed region and this appears transparent to me? So I am not sure what your issue is?

Danny,

this is not the fixed region from your template. It would not become transparent no matter what I did in the CSS.

WHAT I DID DO >>>>>>

I created an area in the header, using a full width CANVAS AREA,

I then added a simple menu and a text box.

I then in the CSS, defined it to be transparent, fixed and in the correct position.

This was a lot of work.

MY POINT BEING...

Is there not a simple way to make the FIXED AREA semi-transparent?

Thx

What I mean't by fixed region was that you already have an element that is fixed. So if you have achieved this, then why do you want to use the Fixed region in DMS ?

If you enable the fixed region on your site, you will see a div with a class called fixed-top, simply override the background-color from that class and make it transparent. If you're not sure, enable the fixed region on your site and I will see what I can do.
