Hi,

You could try the legacy function inside the wp loop section.

Its been awhile since I have used legacy but I do believe you can do what you are looking to achieve.

Please refrain from creating multiple topics regarding the same issue/question. I have already stated that this isn't possible to achieve with Flipper without using the meta options and a lot of messing around. Therefore, if you wish to create a layout like the image you have attached, you will need to use the PowerLoop option and offset.

I'm sorry Danny.

The thing is I didn't find any documentation on how to use the offset option. If there is one, can you give me a link? or just a brief explanation on how it works?

Aires, how does legacy work? how do I set it up?

Offset is a WordPress function which is mainly used for pagination. However, when used with posts, all it means is that if you use PowerLoop and set the offset option to 4. It will not display your four latest posts, it will miss them and start the loop at the fifth post.

For example, you have 10 posts published on your WordPress site, these posts are called 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. By default, WordPress will display these posts from latest to oldest. So let's say for this example 1 is the latest post and 10 is the oldest post. Therefore, on your blog WordPress will display your posts like so:

1

2

3

4

and so forth. If you were to use the offset option and configure to offset 4, your blog will display the following:

 5

 6

 7

 8

 9

10

Hopefully, this will give you a better understanding of the offset option and how powerful it can be.

So back to your image layout you attached above. To achieve this layout with PowerLoop, I would fo the following. Add PowerLoop to your site, then clone it so that you have two PowerLoops.

In the first PowerLoop use the option to display 4 posts only, configure the other options how you like and leave offset disabled. In the second PowerLoop configure the settings again how you like, but set the Offset to 4. If setup correctly, you should have blog that displays your four latest posts in the top PowerLoop and your remaining posts will display in the second powerloop.

Thank you Danny,

It was very helpful.

Just one last question, I only have the offset option with powerloop, right?

Yes, offset comes with PowerLooo and no other section. If you want to control how your posts are displayed, you will need to use PowerLoop.

      Hi Everyone,

I am having issues with being able to post to my blog with platform 5. Currently when i click publish, it just shows the homepage of MoonBodySoul.com. That is until i open the page editor and change the scope from "All of type: Posts" to "Current Page Only". Then I have to re-insert the menu header as well. This seems like a really dumb process. In past versions of pagelines, I could just post a blog and the menu would be there and there would be no formatting issues. What can I do to fix this?

How do you move the thumbnail on a blog post?  I need the thumbnails for the blogroll page, but they show up at the top of the actual post page.  Normally, this would be fine, but I've been requested to put it under the blog title.  Any suggestions?
      Thanks.

My client is asking for a new blog layout similar to the one found here:  http://blog.perkinswill.com/pokemon-augmented-reality-and-the-future-of-urban-design/
They have a splashy full-width background image overlaid with part of the blog and one sidebar.  The navigation arrows send you to the next post.
Does anyone know if this is even possible using Framework 5?  If so, can you send me some advice on how to get here?
      Totally stuck!
      Thanks.

      Hi there!
I am using "Pins" for my blog now and I have some problems with the big style of the pins.
I'd like to have smaller pins, how is it possible to make them smaller?
