DMS images broken when publishing a site

Recommended Posts

We have Wordpress multisite setup running DMS and other themes. When we work with the webdesigns on the multisite setup - with the multisite domainadress all images in DMS are showing as they should be. But when we publish the sites and the domain is mapped to the correct domain, all images in DMS (not in the Wordpress content, and not in other themes) breaks.

All images are as a DMS standard set to a path like this: [pl_site_url]wp-content/uploads/sites/6677/.....

And the path remains the same after the domain is mapped, but all images break. If we instead add a / before the wp-content the images will show again - like: [pl_site_url]/wp-content/uploads/sites/6677/...

This is not a issue we have with other themes or the content of Worpress, which is why we think this is related to the DMS theme instead.

We just mapped this domain: http://exoticcatering.se/- before domainmapping the domain was http://exoticcatering.se.wpms.surftown.com (see screenshots)

This have been an issue for a long time also with older versions of WP, plugins and DMS

We are running:

Wordpress 4.2.1
DMS: Version 2.1.9.2
Domain Mapping plugin Version 3.1.7

Hi,

Can you provide a link to a site where the images are broken so I can investigate further.

The link to the images are like this - http://photo2.surftownwebdesign.comwp-content/uploads/sites/6081/2015/05/logo1.png

Therefore, you're going to need to review the URL you're using when mapping your sites, as that is the cause. You're missing a / after your .com

I already knew that? That is pretty much what i already described.

The issue is that Pagelines is breaking the images after we map the domains, they worked before the domain was mapped.

The solution can't be that we have to change the path every time we map a domain, again this is not an issue we have with other themes, and will ask you to investigate why this is a problem with the pagelines framework.

Can you provide a screenshot of how you're mapping your domains. As I have just setup a WordPress multisite with PageLines Framework and have no issue with the images. Therefore, the issue is related to how you have setup your WordPress MS or your domain mapping.

Can you use an image hosting server instead of using the forum attachment option, as they're too small to see properly.

I think you need to speak to the plugin developer, as the issue is your domain URL is missing a / after the .com which is causing the issue. In my opinion, this isn't an issue with our product and the best course of action is contact the plugin developer for further assistance and see what they suggest.

Hi ... I have had a similar problem. If the images that you are referring to are the Font Awesome icons, it looks like there is a problem with the Font Awesome Icons and multisite. (google search https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=font awesome icons multisite)

I have found that if you put the following at the top of your .htaccess file it appears to work

Header add Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*"

      Hi
      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
My theme is up to date

      Hello,
I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens.
I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Akismet
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
      WooCommerce
It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date.
Any thought about what might be causing this?

Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Using navbar section with correctly configured WP menu to display main navigation at https://elenaangel.com.
All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
