No Images Showing Up from Blogs on "Posts Page"

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I am seeming to have a brief issue here... on my "posts page", the "WP Content/Loop" doesn't display images from the posts. Is there a way to make those show up?

Hi,

Can you provide a link to the site in question please, so we can take a closer look.

Here it is:

First entry has a video that will not show up on the posts page, and the second entry has images that will not show up on the posts page: http://burkemedia.net/mmjrg/resources/

If it appears as things are working by the time you see it, it's because I figured out another way to accomplish this - haha.  If that is the case, I'll post another link and move this to another page, so you can take a look.

So...I figured something out...

When I turned on "Enable Legacy Mode", and turned on "Show full content of posts?" - and everything was great!

Is this the way you would have recommended going about it - or is there another way?

I am unable to see your issue, as the link you have provided gives a 404 error.

However, from the sounds of it, it would appear you're adding an video/image to your post and when you view your blog, they're showing the excerpts. This means that your blog will display a snippet of the posts text. However, the excerpt in WordPress strips all HTML, which means that you will not be able to see your video in your excerpt.

The way to resolve this is to either:

1. Use legacy mode like you have and use full content.

2. Ask this question on the WordPress support forums about increasing the except length and how to stop it from stripping HTML.

3. Stop using Legacy mode and use Post Formats instead.

I ended up solving it and launching the website.  It's the "Resources" page of this website: http://desert420.com

Thanks for your help. :)

Question! Does anyone know how to display a full post rather than the excerpt on the posts page? Normally I can replace 'the_excerpt' with 'the_content' on the page template, but i'm not finding that in the Framework templates...
      Thoughts?

      Hi Everyone,

I am having issues with being able to post to my blog with platform 5. Currently when i click publish, it just shows the homepage of MoonBodySoul.com. That is until i open the page editor and change the scope from "All of type: Posts" to "Current Page Only". Then I have to re-insert the menu header as well. This seems like a really dumb process. In past versions of pagelines, I could just post a blog and the menu would be there and there would be no formatting issues. What can I do to fix this?

How do you move the thumbnail on a blog post?  I need the thumbnails for the blogroll page, but they show up at the top of the actual post page.  Normally, this would be fine, but I've been requested to put it under the blog title.  Any suggestions?
      Thanks.

My client is asking for a new blog layout similar to the one found here:  http://blog.perkinswill.com/pokemon-augmented-reality-and-the-future-of-urban-design/
They have a splashy full-width background image overlaid with part of the blog and one sidebar.  The navigation arrows send you to the next post.
Does anyone know if this is even possible using Framework 5?  If so, can you send me some advice on how to get here?
      Totally stuck!
      Thanks.

      Hi there!
I am using "Pins" for my blog now and I have some problems with the big style of the pins.
I'd like to have smaller pins, how is it possible to make them smaller?
