DMS 2 Problem with Template

I'm on the latest version of DMS2.  Having issues with templates. See these two pages.

My goal is to set this basic layout as the default template for posts.  Then I would like to be able to go into each post, unlock the template, and change the photo on the left and the button text and target.  The problem is that even with the template unlocked, when I change the image on one post it changes them on all posts.  There seems to be no difference in behavior/outcome whether the template is locked or not.

 

Right now it seems that only the WP Loop can have variable content on the post.  How can I achieve a static layout but still have editable sections for individual posts?

Hi,

 

Unfortunately, you can not have individual templates on posts. Once you set a template for a post, it will be universal for all posts.

Danny thanks for the quick response.  That's disappointing and it seems that many others in the forum are having similar issues.  Really limits design control.  Do you know if this is being evaluated for future updates?

 

I may have found a workaround using the responsive grid shortcodes within my posts.  I was able to make two spans and get my photo on the left and text on the right as desired.  The only issue is that the post title and date span across both of the two span DIVs.  Is there a way to get the post title and date to display in the text DIV span only?

You could try this:

 

header.entry-header {

  width: 57.446808505%;

}

 

That gives the header i.e. the title and meta the same width as your first span i.e. span7.

In regards to the posts templates this is as far as I am aware being reviewed by our developers.
