iBlogPro6 - how to add a coloured background to sections

Recommended Posts

fourtogaraffia

I use the iCallout section a lot. For example, halfway down my home page at www.simonkemp.net you can see "Improve your online image..."

I'd like to give this section a pale grey background so it visually separates it from the rest of the page.

I couldn't see an option in the section's editing controls and I tried dragging the Canvas Area section to the page so I could put the iCallout section in that and change it's background colour. The Canvas Area section however refuses to be positioned on the page...

Any help as to where I am going wrong would be gratefully received.

TIA,

Simon.

Hi Simon,

You should be able to add a Canvas section then place your Callout section to that Canvas area. Then apply the background color option.

If this isn't working, then there is something such as a plugin, script etc.. causing the conflict.

Alternatively, you can simply create multiple classes and apply these classes to your sections. For example:

.grey-bg { background-color: #999999;}
.red-bg { background-color: #ff0111;}

And so forth for each color and then apply that class name to the sections styling classes field.
