MulitMenu - Links showing on page load

Recommended Posts

TallTree

Hi,

When I load my site, the links in the MultiMenu are showing up as the page loads, then disappear as soon as the page finishes loading.

Is there a way to make this not happen?  It takes a few seconds to load, and during this time, the page is a little unsightly.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

-Matt

Hi Matt,

You have two issues that may be causing this.

1. You're using Nicks base theme, this child theme is not support by Nick and contains some PHP code. Therefore, it could be causing an issue, as it was created before the release of DMS 2.x, as far as I am aware. Therefore, you will want to use the PL Starter theme.

2. You're using a cache plugin, please flush the cache on the plugin and then disable it, this should resolve your issue.

Hey Danny,

Thanks for the reply.

I did both of these things - installed and activated pl-starter theme, and deleted the cache, disabled the plugin.  I also deleted the cache in my browsers.

Still having the same issue however - It is happening Safari, FF & Chrome.

Is there anything else I can try??

Thanks!

-Matt

Hello.  I would try the following.  All or a combination of these has worked for me recently.

  1. DMS Site Settings > Advanced > Ensure that the Fixed Region is DISABLED
  2. Disable ALL plugins except Pagelines-related plugins >  Test
  3. Re-enable ALL plugins > Test
  4. Multimenu Settings > Try selecting the exact menu name, rather than "dafault" (if not already done) > Test
  5. Multimenu Settings > Try switching to Standard mode and then back the Hamburger > Test
  6. Remove Multimenu > Publish > Re-add Mutimenu > Publish > Test

Hope this helps.

Ryan

All those you're experiencing this issue, please send me a PM with the following information:

1. A link to this topic, so I know what the PM is regarding.

2. A link to the site in question.

3. Make sure all custom code has been removed. If it hasn't when I login, I will login right our again.

4. Make sure all plugins except for MultiMenu are disabled.

5. A screenshot of your plugins directory where MultiMenu is installed, so I can see if this has been installed correctly.

jacobtippett - You still have a cache plugin active on your site, I can not assist until this plugin has been disabled. As we can not provide support when cache plugins are active.

If this plugin has been disabled, please enable it again and flush the cache in the plugins settings. Then disable it, as this plugin may be the cause of your issue.

      Hi
      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
My theme is up to date

      Hello,
I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens.
I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Akismet
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
      WooCommerce
It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date.
Any thought about what might be causing this?

Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Using navbar section with correctly configured WP menu to display main navigation at https://elenaangel.com.
All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
