Page won't up in Safari, but does in Chrome?

Hello. Have you come across this problem? I'm building my website in google Chrome, and all my pages open. But if I (or someone else) uses Safari (maybe other browsers too?) the home page opens, but then when they click on a widget, the inked page shows my header and nav but a 404 Error symbol for everything else. Is there a plug in or something I can do to fix this?

Thank You!

Hi,

Can you provide a link to the site in question, as well as a screenshot of which widget is causing this 404 please.

Oh gosh, I thought I already replied to this. The website is devorakalma.com. And here is a screen shot file:///Users/devorakalma/Documents/ORGANIZE%20THESE/Screenshot%202015-03-02%2010.04.15.png

It's the widget on the home page with the 3 little girls in black n white, and says "Treat Your Daughter to a Miniature Goddess Night" in hot pink. In Chrome, it links perfectly; in other browsers, it links to the 404 error page. Thank You!

This is the code with permalink in the widget section: <a href="http://www.devorakalma.com/?page_id=179"><imgsrc="http://www.devorakalma.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Mini-Goddess-Night.png" alt="Mini Goddess Night" width="488" height="342" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-212" /></a>

Hi,

I am getting the same 404 error on all browsers, Chrome, Canary, Safari and FF. Therefore, it is likely that you either have no content on that page or you need to replace the 404 section with the WP-Content/PostLoop section.

Hi Danny...   Sorry - what do I have to do with the WP-Postloop section? I tried adding it (see screen shot), but it does not let me add or drag other sections into it? I think I remember deleting it because I thought I could just add my own columns/sections as you will see on the screenshot (I can see them all when I'm working in Chrome). Can you tell me what I'm supposed to do in order to successfully add sections that people call see? Thank You                       file:///Users/devorakalma/Desktop/Screenshot%202015-03-05%2009.39.30.png

No problem, so the issue was caused by you not having the WP-Content/PostLoop section active on your template?

No... something sillier. It was caused by me not PUBLISHING the page I had created. That happened because I often create pages just to get the html code for widgets. But that page, I actually needed to publish ;) lol. I didn't need a "WP-Content Loop" section on there, though -- any type of sections worked.

      Greetings
I just migrated an old DMS2 site to PL5 at cassClayton.com. If you look at the site on Safari browser, you will see the top nav bar (NavPro) is white, but gets revealed as you start to scroll the page. NavPro is used in the Header section, then a Text section in which I have Shortcode for the Smart Slider3 plugin. Would have preferred to use a PL-compatible slider but found it difficult to get Flick and Impress slider to simply fill full screen, just height of images (they were filling whole screen, hence large black area filling in the rest).
So seems on Safari that the load order of the plugin may be causing the Nav bar to be overwritten? or something.
      Hoping someone can help?
thanks...  (works fine on Chrome, Firefox, even Tor, just not Safari)

We're seeing an abnormal break in widgets in Safari (El Capitan v10.11.4). 3 Widgets set for 4 of 12 columns each breaks correctly in Chrome and Firefox, but the 3rd widget goes to another line in Safari.
      Screenshot attached.
Hoping there's a CSS fix you could recommend in the meantime, until an update. You can see this on our home page: www.novusweb.com.

It seems that whenever media is set to be on the left, there is a problem with the way safari displays them. I used to have boxes with media on left when i was using DMS2, but since PL5, I've had to use only media on top. I know there are a few css suggestions that people have offered, but I'm wondering if such suggestions can't be built into the boxes code for PL5 rather than having to add extra CSS. Otherwise, am really liking PL5 over DMS2.

I use Adobe's Fonts.com for specific branded fonts for our site, and it's working nicely on Chrome and Firefox. However, the fonts all default in Safari. Is there anything I need to look at?
