Editing the feature image thumbs on the blog roll

Recommended Posts

jDub

I'd like to edit where the featured image "thumb" shows up on the blog roll.  I'd actually like to remove it from the blog article it's self and only have it show up on the blog roll aligned left with the text to the right of it.

I'm fine with creating a child theme for this task, but am not sure which file would need adjusting (besides the css) to achieve this.  I'm hoping you can help.

Thank you in advance.

HI,

You can simply switch the WP-Content/PostLoop section settings to legacy mode and have more control over the position of your Featured Image. However, if you're not happy with the options available and prefer to completely change it's position will likely not be possible with CSS and you would require extensive PHP code. This isn't something we can assist you with unfortunately.

I don't see the point in showing  featured images on the post, leaving it with two of the same images. I'd like the featured images to be hidden only on the body of posts and pages and to keep them showing when  a post category is listed also in search results.  Is it possible?  Thanks

You're only see two of the same image, if you add the image manually yourself. The Featured image will always be shown as this is default in WordPress. So you have two options, if you do not wish to have your image repeated.

1. Do not use the Featured image option

2. Do not upload and manually add the image again yourself.

How can I get support on pagelines DMS? The product isn't that old and my skeleton themes aren't working and I can't get support in the same way?

I have a number of legacy websites that are running on the above version of Pagelines DMS, where the template has stopped working. I am using a skeleton theme to all of them. What do I need to do to rectify this.

I am having an issue with DMS editor not loading.  Just keeps spinning and spinning.
Have tried several things - Logged in and out, cleared cache, deactivated all plugins, but the issue persists.
I even had our host restore from a backup a few weeks ago, when I know it WAS working, as I edited a text box on the homepage.  The restore from backup didn't help either.
Also, the front end of the site shows that the site is framed, or boxed now (whatever you call it), instead of full width as it was previously (last week).
Dev console shows that there are php errors in Google maps - file is attached.
Can someone please help?  Not sure what else I can do here...
      Thanks in advance.
