Follow the guide on this article, except you do not require the use of a plugin as it is already implemented in DMS - http://wptavern.com/how-to-add-font-awesome-icons-to-wordpress-menus

I follow the instruction you provide.....check the CSS classes on menu and put icon there but it appear to have an error (icon did not show up) I put fa-home, fa-dollar

Ah, it would appear that article received an update as the instructions were not to use classes. Instead all you needed to do was add the following to the Navigation Label:

 

<i class="fa fa-home"></i> Home

 

Repeat the process for each menu item, simply adding the font awesome icon code in the Navigation label option field either before or after your menu item label.

For example:

 

<i class="fa fa-home"></i> About

 

or 

 

About <i class="fa fa-home"></i>
