solidfooter - causing error upon placement

Tried posting this yesterday

I'm trying to install SolidFooter but as soon as I activate it on my plugins page I get the following:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function pl_social_links_options() in /home/content/52/11569252/html/wp-content/plugins/solidfooter/sections/solidfooter/section.php on line 23

Not good right?  What could this be?

I typed this earlier and lost it so I'll make it brief

The site was working when I first enabled the plug-in now after enabling it and placing the solid footer on the bottom of my content section I got that error. When I disable the plugin the error goes away but I am also left with a gap on mobile between my nav header and content; this is likely where I had successfully (unsuccessfully) dropped the section.

Okay, you're using as far as I can tell the free version of DMS. The SolidFooter extension like all store extensions are compatible with DMS 2.x as far as I am aware that is why you're receiving the error. As it is attempting to call a function that doesn't exist in the free DMS theme.

OK, fair enough.  But now I'm stuck with a gap on my mobile version.  How can I go remove what I put in, without enabling the plugin and thereby crashing the site to edit it?  Is deleting the plugin enough or is there something in my code or template that I need to remove?

Removing the plugin should be enough, but make sure you publish the changes once the plugin has been removed.
