Local Page Layout Overrides Other Pages

Hi--

I'm having some trouble understanding how to use the Page Layouts; I want to create a single landing page which does not include navigation or any content from other pages. However, whenever I use the Landing Page template (which is not attached to any other page in the site), and I set the Page Setup to Local, all of the changes I make to the navigation, header, footer, etc., continue to propagate throughout the entire rest of the site. What am I doing wrong? I've already now wasted hours having to rebuild areas for the rest of the site, so I'm a little hesitant to make any more changes.

 

On a side note, this area of PageLines really could use some work, both in terms of documentation and in terms of UI/UX. It's a pretty reasonable assumption for a user to make to create a new template, set it to Local, and expect that those changes would not impact the rest of the site.

Hi,

 

If you use any sections in the Fixed, Header or Footer regions, they will be displayed on all pages. This is be cause they're global regions and therefore are universal through your website. If you want to create a landing page, you will need to use the hide sections option, via the DMS Pro Tools plugin.

      I've tried disabling plug-ins individually, checking column width, and <div> tag errors on the page as well as in individual posts that are displayed on my homepage. I don't know exactly when this issue arose, so I don't know what else to try!

      "Sync Loaded Item" in Platform 5 templates won't stay checked

      I haven't figured out how to get the "Sync Loaded Item" option in templates menu of Platform 5 to stay checked. It doesn't give me an option to save settings when I select it, and when I select it then click off the editor, it unselects. Also if I select it before loading a template, it doesn't stay checked there either.  Whats going on?

      I have to say that I like the Layout and the Template based sections. Some of them are really impressive.
      One of the things that I would like to request though is the possibility of being able to dynamically rearrange the layout.
      An example of what I am talking about is take the Agency Section. It's current layout starts with the
      Splash Module then the Portfolio Module then the Service Module and so on and so forth.
      What would be great is if we were able to move these modules around. I.e have the Service Module first
      then maybe the Splash, and then the portfolio.

      Hi,
      I created a Pagelines template for a "Post type" post. Whenever creating a new post page it firstly display that template post and I have to manually change it in the scope from "All of type posts " to "Current page". 
      Is there a way to fix that?

      DMS WooCommerce template vs. default templage

      I'm building a website in a dev environment at http://162.144.182.17/~uescocra.
      I want to import a bunch of products, and then have the products have a different template than the default template. 
      I also want to change the default template for blog posts.
      Before I go making changes, can I do this where the post type of "products" has its own global template, and the same with blog posts?
      For instance, in a product I might want to have a widget for categories, similar products, etc., and in the blog I may want list of the latest posts, blog categories, link to an email sign-up landing page, etc.
