Hi acesup

In DMS you can drag and drop the "WP Content Loop" to your Home Page.

Yes I've created many pages and sites. But the funny thing is, I've never known where the home page loop content is. I always use the DMS for the home page. But I want to use the loop content for my new site. I can't seem to create a new page as the home page. And when the theme is installed there is just 1. Page Lines Getting Started and 2. Sample Page. So where is the editor in WP for the home page loop content? (not DMS)

Hi, acesup

Are asking how to setup a static homepage thats different from the default.

If so that is found under Settings>reading in the admin area.

No I just want to go into WP dashboard, click pages, and find the HOME PAGE and edit it. Like a normal page. Without using the DMS on the front-end.

When I used the other DMS Theme recently, and went into WP, pages, there was a page called HOME PAGE. Lovely.

In iBlog theme there is no set HOME PAGE in the pages.... ?

Hi,

DMS does not create pages for you, you will need to create your own Homepage page. Leave it blank and then set that to your front-end page via the Static pages settings. Then drag and drop the Wp-Content/PostLoop section to your template.

DMS DOES create pages for you. When you install the theme you automatically get 2 pages created. Two which you can visually see in WP/DMS, additionally the home page has data filled in as a sample page. A page with data on it is a created page, I can see it and edit it, all be it most likely temporary ones.

Since DMS takes the liberty of creating these sample pages, it seems odd to me that loop content isn't also generate on the home page sample so there's a bunch of DMS data there...

Okay thanks I'll try that Danny.

When you install DMS, you will have a Welcome page set in draft. This page is to simply show you how to use DMS and should not be used, but removed when you know what you're doing.

The other page Sample Page is created by WordPress and is on every installation of WordPress ever. Therefore, DMS does not create any pages for you. WordPress handles the creation of content such as Posts/Pages etc...

DMS will never include a page called Homepage. If you're missing this on your site, it is because you haven't created it yet.

Of course DMS doesn't create a page. It doesn't have human intelligence. If it could, we wouldn't need developers would we?

Perhaps you could try using some intelligence? And just for once, why don't you try actually assisting? (rare to get proper answers from you is what I hear and experienced previously and thus far).

Regardless of whether it's DMS, WP, or some phantom robot with special powers, I have 2 pages sitting looking at my when I open the DMS editor. With call outs etc all layed out nicely.

http://888onlinepoker.jp/getting-started
http://888onlinepoker.jp/sample-page
But when I go to the home page http://888onlinepoker.jp/this started with data already in the DMS and I just carried on editing it (started with call outs etc).

So going back to the original question before you carried on like a ignorant smart ass freak with absolutely no idea of about customer service, where is the loop content for this page?

Just to be sure, I would have thought the whole idea behind DMS was to cater to the demographic that doesn't have coding experience? If that's the case, this forum might want to get some proper customer service representatives. Or just fall by the wayside I guess.

Not holding my breath for a proper answer.

Okay, I am at a bit of a loss as to why you feel my responses have been "ignorant smart a** freak with absolutely no idea of about customer service" when all I have done is tried to explain that DMS does not create your home page/blog page or any pages for you except for the Getting Started/Welcome page which is there for demonstration purposes only. You suggested that DMS does create pages for you, which I responded in a polite manner in my opinion and stated that DMS doesn't create a home page for you. Then explained about the getting started page.

DMS DOES create pages for you.

To create your homepage/blog page you will need to create those pages in WordPress like any other theme. These pages can be called whatever you like, the standard is Home/Frontpage/Welcome for your homepage and for your blog page they're usually called Blog or News.

When you have created these pages, you can then drag and drop the WP-Content/PostLoop section onto those pages. This will display either your pages content that you have added via the WordPress Admin Dashboard > Pages content editor or WordPress Admin Dashboard > Posts content editor.

If you drag and drop the WP-Content/PostLoop section on to a page such as Sample-Page it will display your pages content. However, if you add the WP-Content/PostLoop to a static page you set as a your Front-Page via WordPress Admin Dashboard > Settings > Reading, it too will display that pages content via the Pages content editor. It will not display your posts, as it is now a static page.

By default, WordPress will display your posts/blog on your homepage, unless you use static pages. As most users do not have their posts on the homepage, they use this page to showcase their features, skills, company info etc.. and keep their news/blog separate. If this is how you want to have your site you will want to use the static page option. If you want to have your posts displayed on your homepage do not use the static pages option.

Now I have reviewed your sites homepage and as far as I can tell, you have not used the WP-Content/PostLoop option on your homepage. However, it is in use on your Sample page.

Danny thanks for taking the time to assist with this matter. As you said, I have not used WP-Content/PostLoop on the main page. And there lies the issue.

The home page that you see, is simply edits and extension I've made on top of what already existed when I installed the theme (a kind of home page sample). I never created a home page for it in WP admin, but now I want to. And then use the content.

The thing is, I have the home page I've edited in DMS but can't actually see which page it is in the dashboard. It's like it only exists in the DMS editor world. And If I try to create a new page in WP Admin, I can't see how to make it a home page as the permalink always insists it be a sub URL, like onlinepokerjp.com/xxxxxxx

If you go to WordPress Admin Dashboard > Settings > Reading and then on the Static page options, for the Front Page use the drop down option and select the page called 888onlinepoker, this should then be set as your homepage.

The exact answer I was looking for thanks Danny. When I switched it I lost my edits, so I switched it back, saved the edited DMS page as a template, then switched it back to static and loaded the template.

All resolved, thanks for your assistance.

I am trying to get iBlogpro6 running under https. All is fine but I am getting a mixed content warning:
Mixed Content: The page at 'https://s11r.co/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet 'http://s11r.co/content/uploads/pagelines/compiled-css-core-1464872768.css'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS. The compiled css file are delivered in http not https. I tried toi delete them several times but the error is still there.
Do I need to fix something in the theme folder? What? Where?

      Hi
I'm in trouble with a site using iBlogPro 6 with the DMS editor. Developers told me to ask support in forums. Here we go…
I try to make a page with tabs containing a kind of dictionary with some terminology. I am saving and refreshing all the time but the problem is, in some point, the changes aren't saved and I get the three default tabs again as nothing happened. I did it once and again. Then I saw the problem was when I write more than 50.000 characters (or 60.000 counting white spaces).
What can I do? How do I have to configure server settings? Or is this a theme problem?
Please I would appreciate any comment about it.
      Thank you very much

I am currently using Pagelines Framework 2.4.6
I'm interested to upgrade my site to iBlogPro6
Will I be able to keep my Pagelines Framework website live and uninterrupted while building my new iBlogPro6 site?
Is there a online help guide of specifics instructions how to get this process started once I download iBlogPro6?
