Hiding Post Meta Information

Recommended Posts

rthaemert

Hello PageLines Community. I have been managing a client's website for a while, and they are requesting that all post meta information be removed from blog posts. What is the best way to remove all post meta information? Should I edit the .php template, css, or?

If the .php template needs to be edited, which template calls in the meta info?

The website is http://idahowomenlawyers.com and I have rigged the meta bar to display "---", but that is just a temporary work-a-around. I really need the information to be removed from the posts, as MailChimp still collects and displays the meta info in email blasts.

Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Randy

Hi Randy,

You can either use custom CSS to hide it or completely remove it by adding the following to the Post meta option field:

When that is added, it will remove all post meta.

Thanks Danny! By adding " " do you think my MailChimp email campaigns will still find the post meta info and display it?

Thanks again,

Randy

Hi Randy,

I am not entirely sure on that to be honest. I would do a test campaign and see if this is the case.
