Pages being created automatically with social name on end of URL

Hi,

 

I keep getting page made automatically after I make any page. The page has something to do with my social because each page made has (elitehvaccontrs) this is my twitter and other social brand.

 

I make a page like this:

 

http://www.elitehvaccontractors.com/hvac-heating-air-conditioning-contractors-service/canada

 

And I am getting this page in my 404 reports and indexted on google with a 404 code like this:

 

http://www.elitehvaccontractors.com/hvac-heating-air-conditioning-contractors-service/canada/elitehvaccontrs

 

I spent the day and night yesterday again going over trying to find problem or conflict. I switched to switch to a standard theme Twenty Fourteen and plugins deactivated it did not happen. Then I went through each one individually reactivating plug ins. No problem. Re activated Pagelines theme, no problem. I thought it was fixed.

 

Did some other work, came back to the computer to just see again and I could of screamed, it did it again! It made a page with this on the end elitehvaccontrs.

 

What do I do now?

Hi,

 

OK, this as far as I can tell isn't related to PageLines Framework. However, can you please update to the latest version which is 2.4.6. You can do this by following the instructions on this post here - http://forum.pagelines.com/topic/37991-themes-requiring-updates/

 

Also, I recommend you keep all plugins active and then switch back to a core WordPress theme and keep it active for a prolonged period of time and see if the issue returns. If it doesn't happen again whilst a core WordPress theme is active. Then the likelihood is that, one of your plugins you have installed is conflicting with PageLines Framework. However, I do believe that you will likely be able to recreate the issue with a core theme too if given enough time.

Hi Tim,

 

What do you mean you purchased PageLines Framework Developer 2.2, PageLines Framework can not be purchased anymore. As it is now a legacy theme and therefore, is free, as support is very limited.

This was purchased Pro Developer Edition back in May 2012 and was letting support know what I was using.

I will get you a screen shot when I try to add a hyper link the button just presses and no further actions available.

Okay, keep us posted and I apologise, in your previous post it sounded like you just this moment purchased PageLines Framework Developer. My mistake :D
