Can't add a Masonic Gallery

Recommended Posts

dario

I can't seem to add a Masonic Gallery section.

This is the case for 1 live site, its local dev version and 3 other local dev sites.

I can drag the section to the page, which then tells me to refresh. Once refreshed, the section is not on the page.

All caching is off.

I can add all other sections to all sites.

Removing all plugins has one effect, it allows me to add the section and it is still present on refresh. However, the added section is simply a dashed line. There are no controls, in fact, I cannot even delete it.

Changing to the base DMS theme does allow me to access the partially added section, and add new ones.

When I go back to the child DMS theme, I'm back to the problems once again.

Removing all the code from the style sheet does allow me to add the section and edit it. It also allows editing when I re-add the styles to the sheet.

So, can someone take a look at the css and see what the faulty code might be?

FWIW, I get no errors on the W3C CSS Validator.

Also note that the CSS is from the live site.

I have never added a Masonic section to the live or dev site until the attempts described above.

On one of the other dev sites I have previously added a Masonic section, and styled it with CSS. Here again though, that dev site no longer allows another addition.

Can you record the issue please, as I am having no issues whatsoever on my testing site.

I'll try to do that today.

FWIW, I've been going through the CSS and at this point if I remove all but the first 4 sets of styles, from this line on down: /* Makes sure that the current menu item is highlighted */, I can add the section just fine.

A lot of the CSS is duplicated between all these dev sites and the live one.

The DMS CSS editor is a light CSS editor and therefore, if you're going to include comments and advanced CSS, I would recommend using a child theme instead.

I am using a child theme on all sites.

I am not using the DMS CSS Editor (other than to load fonts), rather, I'm using Coda.

Still mulling over your previous suggestion to switch to Atom. ;)

Never liked Coda too bloated for me. In my opinion you can't beat SubLime Text or Atom.

Regarding the issue, I have just this moment added your custom CSS to a child themes style.css file and then added Masonic without any issue.

Weird.
I wonder if it's something Mac-related, or to my Mac version of Chrome?

Tangentially related is that when in the CloudFlare dashboard I cannot access all the dropdowns for any of the sites I have there, with either Chrome or Safari. CloudFlare says it's on my end. On my iPad and PC, everything is accessible.

Obviously I'm not seeking help for that here.

Still, I'll try adding the section via my PC and see what happens.

      Hi
      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
My theme is up to date

      Hello,
I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens.
I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Akismet
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
      WooCommerce
It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date.
Any thought about what might be causing this?

Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Using navbar section with correctly configured WP menu to display main navigation at https://elenaangel.com.
All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
